Together with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as project coordinator, as well as the partners Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU), RWTH Aachen University (RWTH) and aratall GmbH, Osnabrück, we are working with Claudius Brodmann... Claudius Brodmann as UX experts as part of a joint project. The aim of the research project is to analyse the acceptance potential for area-intensive renewable energies.
Agri-photovoltaics (APV), floating photovoltaics (FPV) and airborne wind energy (AWE) are largely unknown technologies and pose specific questions about social acceptance despite, but also precisely because of their particularly extensive use of space and tendency towards ubiquitous, but also temporary, spatial distribution.
In order to actively involve citizens in the design process, a gamification tool for simulation is being developed. This innovative simulation uses virtual reality and augmented reality to give citizens a realistic preview of potential changes in their neighbourhood.
The Geekettez will support the TU Munich within this project with regard to the conception and design of a user experience concept and layout, taking into account gamified interaction scenarios. Furthermore, a prototype will be developed, which will be tested and evaluated in specific regions in Germany by means of focus groups.
This research project within the network represents a significant step towards a sustainable and participatory energy future. We look forward to making a contribution to shaping a sustainable future!
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag and will run until April 2025.
